Megatroid: Destroyer of Light. A prototype of a MegaMan/Metroid game, solo dev. My plan is to complete a demo of the first mission.
By Keyless Abyss

Megatroid is a third-person hack-and-slash shooter that blends fast-paced combat with a deep, meaningful story inspired by biblical themes, sci-fi fantasy, and the battle between light and darkness.
Set in the interdimensional realm of Morninghollow, where Day and Night are divided by a great wall, players step into the boots of a chosen warrior equipped with advanced battle armor—powered by real-world connection. As the balance of reality teeters on the brink of collapse, you'll fight through nodes (each representing a galaxy) to push back the shadows and restore harmony.
But this isn't just a game about combat—it’s about truth, free will, and redemption. Behind the battles lies a spiritual war, echoing the ancient fall of man, the serpent’s deception, and the promise of salvation. You'll uncover the origins of Megatroid, a powerful enemy born from a fallen human soul, and the mysterious sigils Vry and Voy, guardians of the light and dark sides.
What Inspired Me
This game is my way of expressing the reality of spiritual warfare through art. I was deeply inspired by the Bible, especially the story of creation, the fall, and the hope we have in Jesus. Megatroid reflects my belief that our world is not just physical, but also deeply spiritual—and that what we do with our free will matters. It's not just a fight for light over darkness; it's a journey to discover who we are, who we serve, and why the truth matters.
How I Create It
I write every part of the story with intention—from the design of the dimension to the voice of the villains. Every detail ties into a larger purpose. Megatroid is being developed to challenge the player spiritually, emotionally, and mentally—while still delivering thrilling gameplay inspired by classics like Metroid, Mega Man, and Spawn.
With the aid of Ayen—a formless consciousness from the void, drawn to the light and reshaped for the glory of God—and Vry’s advanced technology, a new interface emerges. It bridges the third dimension with the fourth in a way humanity can grasp. Through it, they command powerful battle armor, stepping into their role as crucial defenders in the war to save creation from rising darkness.
