PROLOGUE — MEGATROID
Before the Beginning
Before time whispered its first tick, before space unfurled, the Word was with God—and the Word was God. Through the Word, all things came into being. Without Him, nothing was made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness—try as it might—could not overcome it.
Time, Space, and Matter
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless, empty. Darkness blanketed the deep. But the Spirit of God hovered above the waters, brooding over creation like an artist before the first brushstroke.
Day and Night
Then God said, "Let there be light," and light pierced the void. He saw that it was good. He separated the light from the darkness—naming the light Day and the darkness Night. Thus began the rhythm of reality.
Morninghollow
Somewhere between the folds of time and space lies a dimension called Morninghollow. It is not bound by our universe but woven into it—both inward and outward—a divine nexus balancing light and darkness. It provides the shadows and shades that let humanity perceive depth, space, and reality.
Morninghollow is structured like a great rectangular web of nodes, galaxies strung like stars. A wall divides the realm: one side radiant with light, the other cloaked in darkness. Each half is guarded by a sentient entity—sigils.
Vry and Voy
Before humanity’s fall, Morninghollow was calm.
Vry, the sigil of the Day, patrolled the light in peace. Voy, the sigil of the Night, mirrored him on the dark side. The two looked identical—robed figures with wings, faces hidden beneath hoods. They could only see and speak to each other near the wall but were forbidden to cross.
They watched over Earth from afar. Though they knew of Heaven, they could neither reach nor commune with the angels. Their purpose: balance the Day and Night.
Knowledge, Free Will, and the Fall
God gave creation knowledge, in degrees. The more knowledge a being holds, the more freedom its will commands. And yet, all was good—so long as each remained connected to God.
But evil... evil is not a thing. It is a distance—the space between a soul and its Creator.
Hell was prepared for those beings with power and wisdom—like angels—who knowingly severed their connection with God. Not out of ignorance, but rebellion.
The Garden
God made man in a garden where there was no knowledge of good or evil. In perfect unity with God, man felt no pain, no decay, no death. Free will was the test. At the center of the garden stood the Tree of Life... and beside it, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
God commanded, "Eat from any tree—but not that one. For on the day you eat of it, you shall surely die."
The Serpent of Old
Once a majestic serpent, high-ranking, wise, and beautiful—a messenger of God. But pride crept in. He resented his rank and used his knowledge to shroud the truth in lies.
"You will not surely die," he whispered.
This was the first lie.
He deceived the woman and sparked the chain reaction that would disconnect man from God.
The Prophecy
With the fall, suffering entered the flesh. Death followed. But God had a plan—to save man’s soul, the Spirit-given life, from the second death, a place of eternal torment built for the evil one and those who reject God.
Disturbance in Morninghollow
The ripples of sin shattered Morninghollow’s balance. Voy vanished from Vry’s sight. The Night turned pitch black. Hostile entities emerged from the dark nodes, invading the border. Vry took up arms.
He crafted AI-powered guardians to defend the nodes while he watched humanity suffer under the evil one's growing influence.
"Time passes," Vry wrote in his log. "I’ve built machines to protect what’s left. But Earth… it groans. And the evil one walks freely."
The Word Becomes Flesh
From Adam and Eve, through King David, and fourteen generations more, God sent His only begotten Son. The Word became flesh—born of a virgin. His name: Jesus.
The Wall is Breached
An explosion tore through Morninghollow. A gaping wound opened in the wall. Darkness and light collided. Stronger enemies poured into the Day.
And then came one like no other...
Megatroid
This one wasn’t a beast—it was a man in armor. Tactical. Ruthless. Commanding.
Megatroid.
Each time Vry engaged, he nearly won—but the enemy would retreat. Time after time, the cycle repeated.
Until Vry wounded him. Badly.
He chased Megatroid into the dark. It was a trap.
Vry’s Imprisonment
Ambushed. Chained in an X across the void. Time lost meaning.
Then... Voy appeared.
Vry pleaded. Voy said nothing, just escorted him to a prison cell deep beneath the Earth. Just before sealing the door, Voy turned.
"I created Megatroid," he said.
The Confession
In the darkness, Voy revealed the truth:
"This place? A prison for fallen angels and a torture chamber for the serpent’s children. Hades and Death hold the keys. It lies beneath Earth's crust.
Long ago, the serpent reached out to me—before Earth’s creatures even existed. He said God would favor a creature from Earth above all else. I didn’t believe him. But he left me blueprints for an android fused with a human soul. Said it could defeat you. I laughed and stored it away.
When God made man, I knew he was right. I joined him. The soul came when man fell. I used it to finish the design.
I called it Megatroid. Almost named it Ultimatroid. Cute, right?
When the Word became flesh, I blew the wall open and attacked. Your machines were impressive. So I sent mine.
Join us, Vry."
Vry spat the answer: "Never. I will protect humanity. The Messiah lives!"
Furious, Voy tore off Vry’s wings. "How will you protect them from here?" he shouted, throwing the wings to the floor. "When the Messiah dies, Hades and Death will keep him here forever."
Jesus Dies on the Cross
Commotion erupted through the prison. Guards mocked Vry.
"Your Messiah is dying. Condemned. Even if He overcomes death, He’ll be stuck in line behind millions of souls."
Then...
"It is finished," Jesus said, and gave up His spirit.
Death met Him. The horseman sneered. "You can’t fool me like you did Earth. You’re not getting through, the grave follows me, and I won't allow you through the gate."
Jesus looked at him.
"I am the Gate."
And passed through the horseman.
Holy Shock
A shockwave. Screaming. A beam of light pierced the prison. Jesus landed in front of Hades, whose eyes burned with terror.
Jesus took the keys.
Chains shattered. Gates burst open.
Vry collapsed to the floor.
Jesus stood before him. "Rise. Take your wings. Run."
Vry rose, wrapped his torn wings around himself, and ran.
The Escape
While fleeing, Vry spotted a glowing beacon—a room containing Megatroid’s blueprints. He grabbed them and sprinted onward.
A chaotic, formless entity brushed against him, following quietly. Vry couldn’t see in the darkness anymore, but he felt the entity pointing the way.
A light appeared at the tunnel’s end.
Return to Morninghollow
Vry emerged back into the light—but his side of Morninghollow was wrecked. No time to grieve. He ran to a secret chamber. Locked the doors. The entity entered with him.
"There is no rest for the wicked," Vry muttered. He laid out the blueprints.
Ayen
The entity began to take form, chaos becoming order. Surrounded by light, it spoke:
"Hello, Vry. I am Ayen. I know what you’re building. It... makes sense to me. I’m the link—between your armor and the human world. With your tech and my connection, we can find help.
I’ve been in the void too long. But now... I know my purpose. From the Most High."
Human Contact
Everything aligned. The Earth year: 2025. The armor could now be connected to humans via the internet. Players could sign up, create their own battle armor, and control it from their world.
The first mission was clear: Restore the first node—SS Mini.
The war for Morninghollow had begun.
